Back when we first started, we noticed that majority of snacks were heavily processed, mostly made with flour and laced with artificial additives / chemicals, while other snacks such as potato chips were all imported and that makes them expensive compared to normal snacks. From a health and economical perspective, we felt this was a bad thing.
We saw the situation as an opportunity for us to capitalize on so we set out to make a snack that is real, containing natural ingredients and it is affordable to everyone.
The abundant resources in Asia where we live became our inspiration, that’s why we chose humble banana as our main ingredient, a whole food that is high in nutrition, dietary fiber, but also one that is familiar and plentiful in Asia and South America.
